Hi,

Based on previous year trends, it has been observed that to attain a BDS seat in a government dental college, a candidate is required to score a minimum of 450 marks in NEET (subject to vary). A minimum of 50th percentile under general category for those who seek admissions in private dental colleges is a requirement.

BDS Cutoff for NEET 2023 is expected to 50 percentile for the general category. The minimum expected mark for acquiring a seat in top BDS colleges in India is 450. No, you will not get admission for BDS in any college with 111 marks in NEET 2023. But you can explore Private colleges. The cutoff marks for BDS colleges in 2022 ranged from 140 to 180 marks for general category candidates. For reserved category candidates, the cutoff marks for SC/ST candidates were around 110 to 140 in 2022.

A score ranging between 450-500 in NEET is taken as a safe score for BDS admission in a government college.

Students under the general category need to score 50 percentile in NEET for BDS admission, whereas the 45 percentile is for reserved category students.

Though you have not mentioned the category and the state name but nevertheless .Find the general details related to the expected cut off for different categories for getting admission:

  1. For UR: 420 and above
  2. For OBC: 400 and above
  3. For SC: 350 and above
  4. For ST: 310 and above

NOTE: These are the expected cut offs. The cut off varies from state to state. It may be less for other states.
