Design Entrance Exam

The topics listed in the CEED syllabus is indicative in nature. Also, the syllabus is exhaustive in the sense that questions may be asked from all or some of the topics. So, the candidate can’t skip any topics when preparing for CEED. 

The candidate is urged to go through the previous years' question papers to get an idea about the paper structure and types of questions asked. That being said, keep in mind that the syllabus has been revised for CEED.

Candidates must report any issue faced by them while filling the CEED application form by clicking on the 'Report Problem' tab that is present on the right side of the application process windows. The tab is highlight in yellow colour. On clicking this tab, candidates had to elaborate on the problem that they are experiencing and also mention their registration number.

It was recommended that candidates fill out the form as soon as possible and don't wait for the last few days. It is because students could face server or other such issues which could delay or hinder the application process.

To appear in the CEED 2027 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of a minimum three years. There is no upper age limit or limit on the number of attempts for appearing in CEED.

Candidates can request for a change in the test city and the same will be accommodated by authorities provided there is a valid reason. To change the CEED 2025 exam city, candidates need to make a request to the office of the Chairperson, IIT Bombay within the stipulated time. The CEED 2025 exam will be conducted in 27 cities  across the country. Each of these cities can have one or more exam centres. The name of the exam centre allocated to the candidate will be mentioned in the admit card.

Candidates can know the status of their CEED 2026 application form on the official registration portals of the exam. In a situation wherein any more information or document is required then the CEED office gets in touch with aspirants through their registered email. It may be note that complete applications will be rejected.

The candidate must carefully go through the step-wise process to fill out the form.

IIT Bombay will release the admission schedule for the CEED 2027 exam, including the application start and last dates, at the time of the release of the application form. The CEED application form will open from October 01, 2026 till October 31, 2026 with regular fees.

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) released the first merit list in the last week of April 2027. Candidates can check the same by visiting the official website: sid.edu.in.

Skills that are tested in DAT include Design ability, Observation skills, Illustration skills, Problem-solving skills, Imaginative skills, Space Visualization. To get a good score on DAT, candidate must work on each of these skills. Some of skills are natural and some of them are acquired.

In a Design Aptitude Test, candidates are asked drawing, sketching and general reasoning questions. Candidate needs to prepare for each question type to get a good score in DAT.

Some of the top design entrance exams that candidates can take include NIFT, NID DAT, UCEED, and SEED.

PES University will conduct the first round of counseling for PESSAT DAT 2026 in July 2026 (tentative). The 2nd round will be conducted once the 1st round concludes.

Candidates will be invited for counseling based on the scores in the PESSAT DAT 2026 entrance exam. Also, the admission committee will verify original documents before completing admission formalities.
