NIFT Bangalore admissions for BDes courses are granted based on marks obtained in the NIFT Entrance Exam. As per the available cutoff data, the last round closing rank for BDes admissions 2024 ranged from 65 to 654 for the general category candidates belonging to All India Quota seats. In 2023, the cutoff for the General AI quota students ranged from 106 to 932.

To know which is a better choice, students must weigh both options based on important factors such as fees and ratings. As per official sources, the fees to pursue BDes at NIFT Bangalore range from INR 5.6 Lacs to INR 12.3 lakh. The fees to pursue BDes from the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad is INR 16.84 lakh. In terms of fees, NIFT Bangalore is a better choice.

Moreover, as per Shiksha ratings, BDes at NIFT Bangalore and the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad have been rated 3.5 out of 5 and 3.9 out of 5, respectively. In terms of rating, a BDes from the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad is a better choice.

In the BDes course, NIFT Bangalore reserves a certain number of seats for candidates belonging to the PwD category. As per the admission brochure for 2025, five percent of the total seats are reserved for the admission of candidates belonging to the PwD category. Such candidates are required to furnish the proof while reporting for the document verification process.

Yes, NIFT Bangalore does reserve seats for SC/ST students seeking admission to the BDes course. As per the institute's reservation policy, 22.5% of the seats are reserved for the admission of SC/ST category students to its BDes course. Out of which, 15% of seats are reserved for SC students and 7.5% are reserved for the admission of ST students.

Once students have filled out the application form for NIFT Bangalore BDes admissions, they are required to appear for the in-house entrance test. At the time of the exam, students must carry the NIFTEE admit card. Once the exam is conducted, students must wait for the release of the cutoff list. Those who meet the cutoff are further required to take part in the counselling process.

NIFT Bangalore inducts students to its BDes programme via the NIFT Entrance Exam. For admission to the 2025 batch, this test was conducted by NTA on Feb 9, 2025. Moreover, NTA has also released the entrance exam results. Students who took the exam can check their results and download their scorecards by using their login details on the official website.
