Yes, before joining a Fashion Design course, you must consider practical projects, dissertations, portfolio, etc., in your budget along with the course fees. Fashion Design is a creative field, and its courses demand a lot of practical sessions, internships, project work, workshops, and so on.

Of course, internships are extremely important for Fashion Design students. You'll get your hands on the real work that you read about in the books. It will give you a broader and in-depth knowledge about how the industry works, how to create and grow a network in the field, how to develop and enhance skills, and especially, you'll get clarity about your future goals.
Hope this helps!!!

Both the degree and certificate courses will provide you with the knowledge required in the Fashion Design field; however, a degree gives you a wider and deeper understanding of the industry, from Design principles, history, to technical elements of it.
On the other hand, a certification will be a short-term course that will give you both practical and theoretical knowledge around a specific topic in the Fashion Design domain.
Now, the better for you depends on your priority and future goals. If you want industry-ready skills in the minimum time, go for a certificate or Diploma in Fashion Design.
Good Luck!

Yes, you can do M.Tech in Structural Design after B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Many universities allow this switch since both fields have overlapping subjects like mechanics and material science. You might need to qualify through GATE in Civil Engineering, as some institutes prefer that for Structural Design.
