To get into Sunstone: Sharda University for a BDes course, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the university. Students must pass Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. A UI/UX designer needs to be good in the following, it does't matter if they are a beginner or expert.
- Be creative and must know how to sketch.
- Know at least one graphic design software in and out.
- Be able to communicate with developers and other team members with clarity.
- Be aware of the latest design trends and common industry techniques.

Coding can be a great skill for all designers. It is not a strict or mandatory requirement.
Many UI UX roles also involve creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. In these, programming knowledge is not exactly required.
But having knowledge of coding can be very much useful when working with the developers.
