IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2024 qualified candidates. Instead, the candidate will have to apply directly to any or all of the eight participating institutes for admission. Note that IIT Bombay conducts a Joint Seat Allotment process for UCEED.
To get admission to a CEED 2024 participating institute, the candidate needs to go to the admission portal of the institute and fill in the counseling registration form. The registration form will open soon after the CEED 2024 results are declared.

There are eight participating institutes of CEED 2023 that offer the M.Des program. Admission to theprogrammewill be on the basis of CEED 2024 merit rank.

Candidates who have been assigned a merit rank in CEED 2024 are eligible for admission to the M.Des course offered by participating institutes. Note that in the case of CEED 2024, there will be no Joint Seat Allotment process conducted by IIT Bombay. Instead, the counseling process will be held at an institute-level by the participating institutes.

The candidate may note that the counseling application window for CEED is typically short. For instance, for CEED 2023, the counseling registration for the M.Desprogrammewas conducted by IIT Bombay from May 5-7, 2023. So, it is important that the candidate is ready and well-informed.
Before filling out the application form, it is recommended that the candidate downloads the information brochure and goes through the key points carefully. The number of CEED result-sharing institutes is not constant. In fact, every year there is a different set of institutes that make the list of CEED result-sharing institutes. Note that the names of the CEED 2026 result-sharing institute will be announced on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in.
Also, an institute can member a result-sharing institute at various stages of the CEED 2026 exam and admission process. For instance, some institute decide to become a result-sharing institute even before CEED exam is conducted, whereas there are others that only become result-shairng institutes after CEED results are declared.

The participating institutes of CEED 2024 will offer admission to the M.Des courses based on CEED 2024 scores only. They will not accept scores of other entrance exams for admission process. Also, IIT Bombay will conduct a Joint Seat Allotment Process or Counseling for the participating institutes.
On the other hand, result-sharing institutes will not participate in the Joint Seat Allotment Process. Instead, these institutes will conduct counseling at an institute-level. The participating institutes of CEED 2024 are colleges that will offer admission to M.Desprogrammeonly on the basis of CEED 2024 scores. These institutes not consider scores of other entrance exams, like NIFT and NID DAT, for admission purposes. The list of CEED 2024 participating institutes will be published on the admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in.
The online application form for admission to CEED participating institutes will open tentatively in the last week of September 2023. Note that unlike UCEED 2024, IIT Bombay will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment process for CEED 2024.

IIT Bombay will release the qualifying cut-off for Part A in the first week of February 2026. Cut-off is released in the form of mean and standard deviation.
The mean and standard deviation for Part-A (CEED 2025) are 45.48 and 16.98, respectively and for Part A (CEED 2024) were 41.90 and 16.72, respectively.
The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score in the paper to get shortlisted. Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted.
