The exam conducting authority has clearly mentioned in the official broucher that "Open & Distance Education" will be considered for educational qualification eligibility criteria of UPCATET. 

Applicants who have completed their education as full time course will be eligible to fill the form and apply online. Only those students are required to fill the application form who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities.

The IGNOU B.Ed is a distance education programme that candidates can complete within two to five years. Candidates who fill the application form og IGNOU BEd will have to appear in the exam, post qualifying in the exam, they will be shortlisted to take the BEdc course offered by the exam body.
