Yes, for the sake of convenience of those who cannot come to the campus due to family responsibilities or jobs, selected distance learning courses are offered at the university. Students can pursue these courses from any location and they don't need to visit the campus.

This University does not offer Ph.D. Programmes under Distance Education mode. 2.1 Master's Degree from UGC recognised University or any other qualification recognised as equivalent there to in the fields of study notified from time to time by the University.

Yes, you can appear for improvement examination after going into higher studies and if your improvement marks are better then it will be taken into consideration otherwise the previous marks will be considered.

Once you get admission in IGNOU in distance education, students have to submit assignments, appear for term end exam and if required submit practical file. 

  • Assignments: Students can check the assignment on the official website of IGNOU as per their year of admission. Students have to submit the assignment within the specified time to their designated study centre. Some study centre might accept online submission. However, it is advised to submit a hard copy as well. Assignment has weightage of 30%.
