Well, I can't say better. But, it is equivalent as top NITs IT department of DTU is under COE department.

If you want admission in DTU, you need to clear the Leet exam.

The fee is as follows:-
1st year - 1,38,000.
2nd year - 1,51,000.
3rd year - 1,66,000.
4th year - 1,90,000.

DTU along with NIST falls under JAC and NIT falls under JoSAA. Therefore, both have separate counselling mechanism.
There will be a common merit list for DTU and NSIT prepared by JAC.
