Assuming that you are from CBSE and you get around 90% marks then you will need a score around 230 in MAINS.

Please tell me if you have some reservations. If yes get back to me. If no the try for some of the NIT. Do some research and find the best of colleges. DTU will not be possible with 50000 rank and without reservation.

But if he wants to go for IIT then again he will not get any good branch in any reasonable standard IIT.
So my best guess would be to join Jadavpur University with CS.

You can get admission in DTU if you are appeared in JEE mains 2016. Because all seat fill through jee main in DTU .There are less chance of you with this rank in DTU. DTU cut off will be high. For students belonging to Delhi region, 85% of the total seats are reserved. Remaining 15% are for outside Delhi candidates.

But in my opinion NSIT is slight good for ECE.
