instead of 4 years, you have to study for 5 years, but you complete your graduation as well as PG. You get BTech as well as MBA degree in just 5 years, plus DTU is a great college, so thats a good option.

Hi Aarya, yes it is true that there are lesser number of seats in hostels than the number of seats in the college. So the students are given hostels according to a priority list i.e. first the outside delhi students then the delhi region students residing outside delhi and then the students of delhi region on the basis of distance from the college. Most of the time the students from delhi region residing in delhi do not get hostel room. Therefore they have to arrange for PG which is available in large numbers. So there are not very big difficulties in finding a residence.

Hi Aarya, the environment of the college is pretty good as there is a lot of greenery in the campus and the campus is very quite in the evenings which gives a quite refreshing feel.And about the other facilities, college has a lot of labs which have sufficient equipments . of course you will not have everything top notch, but there are of good standard. Everything is so much so that you will have a peaceful stay in the campus with all your needs fulfilled.

IIITD is a very good college with extremely good faculty. It is suggested that it must be your one of the top preference.

Hi Siddhant, the admission to DTU depends solely on the marks scored by you in JEE MAINS. But the counselling is conducted by JAC DELHI. You can visit the site of jacdelhi.nic.in for furthur details. Go to the site and you will find all the relevant details pertaining to the counselling process.

Hi Sivaiah, the academics are good. Some of the teachers are particularly good. But most of the teachers are such that they will show interest in you only if you show interest in them I.e. you must be proactive. There are a large number of societies also with which the teachers are associated thus providing a very good practical approach . The placements in DTU are particularly good. Although it depends on your branch,on an average you can say that the placements are very good especially of the computer related branches.

DTU offers BTech in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Automotive Engineering (MAM) and is a well sought after degree.

NSIT has lesser number of students as compared to DTU, so the competition in placements is less. The other factors are more or less comparable.

Hi, based on your marks I guess your rank will be something around 1,00,000. You have not mentioned your state of eligibility. If you are from Outside Delhi then you will not get any branch.If you are from Delhi-Going by this rank , if I say bluntly then you might get some branch but will not be the good ones. The maximum you can hope for is something around Environmental or Biotechnology Engineering. So, I would suggest you to take up some other college and not DTU because you will get some better branches in other colleges.
