The School of Nanoscience and Technology (SNST) was established during the Golden Jubilee Year of Shivaji University, June 2012. The department currently offers B.Sc. - M.Sc. five year integrated course in Nanoscience and Technology. The SNST intends to cultivate an interdisciplinary approach and bring together major science branches like Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Mathematics and Electronics under one umbrella. The Nanoworld is emerging as a small world with enormous opportunities. Objects in the range of 1-100 nm exhibit unexpected chemical, physical and biological properties. These astonishing new properties are the gateway to innovation in a variety of fields including chemistry, biology, physics, materials and environmental sciences, engineering and medicine.

BCA-MCA Dual Degree is a 5-year programme designed to meet the changing requirements of the IT sector and to produce computer professionals who are ready to be deployed in IT companies. It gives students a unique advantage of obtaining a graduate cum post-graduate degree in Computer Applications in the span of 5 years after completion of their higher secondary education. Student who discontinues the studies after 3 years of successful instructions are eligible for award of Bachelors degree in Computer Applications (BCA), at the end of 5 years study student are eligible for Masters degree in Computer Applications (MCA). On the criteria of learning, there is no extra advantage of 5 years dual degree programme vs six years regular BCA-MCA programme. Student save one year in dual degree programme.

Hello Sai, IIT JAM exam is organized for the selection of candidates for M.Sc. Integrated M.Sc-PhD and other PG Programs. As you have completed the Masters degree in mathematics, you should apply for CSIR NET exam to be eligible for Ph.D. Admission into top institutes. The CSIR NET exam is held twice a year for the selection of candidates for lectureship and JRF. After qualifying the exam, you will be eligible for the higher education, like Ph.D. exam. The minimum qualification for the CSIR NET exam is post graduation degree. As you have completed M.Sc. In mathematics, you can apply for the CSIR NET Mathematics subject. The candidates are allowed to apply for their master's subject or its related subject only. There is no age limit criteria for NET lectureship but for CSIR NET JRF or Ph.D. you age must be below 28 years. Hope it will help you. All the best!
