Best lies upon your interest. Choose what you love. If you love coding and electronics go for ECE. If you love maths physics and electrical subjects go for EEE. If you prefer playing with machines go for mechanical. If you still want your answer related to order of preference then here it is : ( my views )

All branches are good, the word better is mere perception of an individual. For one Civil may be good for the other EEE and vice versa. I can tell you the current scenario which may be helpful in developing your perception. India is a developing nation with lots of infrastructure development, population growth and global warming in the years to come, there will always be a need for Structural Engineer, Transportation Engineer, Water Resource Engineer and Environment Engineer. Electrical and electronic engineering may sound similar, but they are very different. Both involve moving electricity around a circuit to power useful products and machines, but that is where the similarity ends!
The main difference between electrical and electronic circuits is that electrical circuits have no decision making (processing) capability, whilst electronic circuits do.
