EEE really has a good scope. If you are interested to write GATE exam then ECE and EEE are the best options to get into navratna companies. If you just want to get a job in campus placements then it's good to prefer CSE because even if EEE people are able to get a software jobs, it's hard to maintain it.

The ICT embodies the convergence of computer and communication systems and has obtained wide acceptance as a distinct discipline. It is a cumulative course involving the study of core subjects of CS,IT and EC. There are a lot of opportunities in future in ICT. Since placement is the only concern the average salary is Rs 7.5 lakhs per annum. Besides IIIT Banglore is recently established college and is not recognized yet.

Hello,
Yes, you can ideally however my advice to you is get in touch with university admission counselors for program curricula and any pre-requisite courses you might have to do since you are not from a mechanical background. Check universities in US, Japan, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, Denmark, Sweden to name a few.
