Hello Shyam,
EEE- electrical and electronics engineering. The name itself implies it is purely based on physics. The concepts of semiconductors and current play a major role. If you are not interested on physics then you will not have interest in studying EEE. And those who love physics also find this branch to be dry but they will have interest in reading it and come out successful. It is really a core branch.
Don't choose it if you don't have an interest and yes you will not be strong in basics as you don't like Physics. It will become really tough if you don't know the basics.

There are almost no core companies in any of the IPU colleges for EEE.
Undoubtedly, MAIT is one of the best colleges in IPU, but not good enough to take any branch just to be in the college.
My advice is to consider branch over college.

I am in B.Tech EEE 3rd year, first I would like to clarify SNU offers EEE and ECE. The electrical faculty is till date the most effective and best faculty you'll come across in our school of engineering. If you have a genuine interest in EEE you should take it up then. As ours is a budding university, placements for EEE are few if compared to CSE department. But all in all the curriculum, course structure, and faculty is one of a kind in SNU.
