From my point of view, taking electrical engineering in NIT-Allahabad is far better due to the following reasons:

I'm sorry to say but its placement is in a very poor condition. People in the electrical department didn't get placed well this year. Only a few got placed.

After diploma, you can do BE or B.Tech in electrical engineering. And after that, you can do ME/M.Tech or MBA.
