No,
Electrical engineering is not a part of electronics industry. Both have differences. Electrical is related to the wiring, current. They may work with chips, integrated circuits, components such as capacitors and resistors, and devices that use electricity as part of their source of power. Whereas electronics is related to electrical appliances. Here, student develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems.

My brother is graduated from UT Arlington about 7 years back and from what I know at that time, electrical engineers of UTA specially were favorite and always picked by Sony Ericson which was in Dallas. I am not sure whether it is the same now but I do know one thing that a lot of folks who graduate from UTA in electrical engineering with good credentials ultimately get placed some place or other by some means or other (through a friend or senior). Hope it helps. Be free to share any problem you have.
All the best.
