Diploma in Electrical Engineering is a certificate/beginner level course in the domain of Electrical engineering and its related aspects. One can pursue the course after completion of his/her class 10th education. The course is of three years duration with a semester-wise system of examination. The average fee for the course varies from INR 35,000 to 2 Lacs across various colleges and universities across the country. The variation in the fee is based on the location and type of university that is private/deemed or government Architecture Engineering. The process of admission to the course mostly involves a merit basis selection criterion that is the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in class 10th board examinations. Colleges/Institutes offering the course demand a minimum of 50% marks (Relaxable for reserved category candidates) at 10th level with Science and Mathematics as a subject of study in order to accord admissions in the course.

There can be many aspects to be considered while choosing a branch (stream) for B.Tech. I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science &Engineering. So, here I will try to give my opinion based on my experience. No branch is less or more important, each of them has its own importance, it solely depends on you, in which stream you want to make your career. See there are enough jobs for every stream, what a company need is quality engineers. So, if you are dead serious for you better future and giving parallel dedication towards it, you will definitely going to be succeed. But, then there are some factors that you should consider before making any decision, like-
Area of your interest: Before being confused with others opinion, ask yourself, in which stream you have more interest, what attracts you more, by this approach you'll find a better way to choose a branch. Approach: If youur any family member or relative is already an engineer, or can help you in future to get a job, then consult them, if they can provide you reference when you pass out. Look, we all know that in India, nothing is required more than a source (reference) to get a job. So, if any reference you have, then pursue B.Tech in that particular stream. College Profile : In every college (even in IITs, NITs) some specific branches are more valuable than others, in terms of Placements, faculty members, Laboratory. So, if you have decided a college, then start gathering information about these facts before choosing/applying for any stream.
