For electrical students, extra subjects on telecom and networking, computer hardware, mechatronics are provided for in-depth understanding. Placement assistance provided with average salary package up to Rs 4.30 Lacs per annum for B.Tech. The highest salary offered is Rs 8.5 Lacs per annum and international placements of two B.Tech electrical engineering students at a package of Rs. 35 Lacs per annum & Rs 22 Lacs per annum respective by Rakuten. Companies like Yes Bank, Edelweiss were among the most known ones which visited the campus. In all, there were around 90 companies from the following sectors- IT, BFSI, consulting, automobile and manufacturing, infrastructure, real estate, media, education, FMCG, e-commerce, etc. The placement cell provides good grooming such that the students are market-ready. Overall recommended for its brand reputation and return on investment.

To my surprise, a large number of core companies came to the campus which is shocking because usually this is not seen in any other college you're almost 50% of the students in every batch is placed in corporate IT companies. The core companies which visited the campus during the placement season offer packages of nothing less than 12 Lacs per annum and large number of students are also offered foreign training opportunities which is something really big for an electrical engineering student. The placement in other branches like mechanical was even better than and comparison to electrical engineering branch which has more number of core companies visiting for recruitment.

One of best institutions for bringing the variety of core job roles in Telecom, Embedded design, VLSI, Robotics, Mechatronics, Chip Design and total quality management roles which fall in the premium range. Some of the core companies which visit for placement are Qualcomm, Huawei, Intel, Ericsson, NVidia, Analog Devices Ltd, Broadcom, Cisco Systems, Texas Instruments, Cosmic circuits, Ericsson India Global Services, Bharti Airtel, Eaton technologies, IBM, Schneider Electric, General Electric, Xiaomi, Micromax, Vodafone, Reliance Jio, etc. Electrical engineering students from IIT typically find jobs in core electrical engineering companies such as Intel, Ericsson or in conglomerates such as Reliance Industries, Tata Technology, Aditya Birla, Vmware, etc. , that have the electronics division. Some students also find jobs in banking, consulting and finance industries as well as marketing roles in Technology and Telecommunication sector.

Mumbai is a one of the well-known engineering colleges in Maharashtra and is said to be ranked second in Maharashtra after College of engineering, Pune (excluding IITs and NITs). Getting into this college through MH-CET requires a lot of efforts too. Placements of VJTI are pretty good when compared to other government colleges in Maharashtra. For EEE department last time (2016-17) out of 64 students who applied to placements from EEE department 59 students were placed meaning 92.18 percent placement for EEE which is a quite good number. More than 55 companies visited the campus for recruiting from EEE department. The lowest package offered was around 3 LPA and the highest package offered was around 19.5 LPA.
