The experience would differ from person to person. But, in general, the common notion is that the ECE field is a bit more stressful as compared to other engineering branches because of the demanding nature of the field with digital advancements taking place every day, the amount of technical and analytical expertise required in designing electronic systems and devices, and high work pressure.

Of course. You can get admission to the BTech ECE course without appearing for the JEE Main exam. There are various other state/college-level entrance tests for admission, like Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, KCET, TS EAMCET, and COMEDK UGET. In addition, there are more than 1,000 colleges in India that take students on the basis of Class 12 scores.

Interestingly, for Tamil Nadu students, the TNEA Counselling after Class 12 serves as the perfect gateway for admission to top engineering institutions.

Lab work is a highly important part of the ECE coursework, as the field is all about the design and building of electronic systems and equipment, along with communication devices and circuit boards. This requires active practical knowledge and application alongside theoretical understanding.

Well, yes. The ECE field does involve coding and programming applications when it comes to the design and development of embedded systems for electronic devices or the circuit boards to ensure the effective flow of current for the system to function efficiently. Though the coding and programming component may not be to that extent as is the case with CSE, it does play an important role in the Electronics and Communication Engg. field.
