I have just joined Shiksha and it is overwhelming to see students have the same doubt I had two years back.
I took a decision and I am not regretting and here's a overview of both the colleges I got to know in these years.
PESIT does not take admission through COMEDK anymore. Also, it's fee structure is twice as much as RVCE.
Apart from these two factors, PESIT is known to spend a lot on its marketing and publicity, RV hardly ever does that. Placements are pretty much the same in CSE and ISE but RV has a far better placements in other branches.
RV has a better campus and clubs as well.
So, my take is, go for ECE in RV.

The batch of 2017 saw 138 students from ECE getting placed in reputed companies like Infosys Tech, TCS, Texas Instruments, ST Microelectronics, Nagarro Software, NXP Semiconductors, Click Labs, JP Morgan, Deloitte Consulting and MU Sigma. Companies like MU Sigma, NXP Semiconductors, and Texas Instruments. There is no exact data about the package figures but it is evident that companies like MU Sigma, NXP Semiconductors, and Texas Instruments give decent packages ( ranging 5-7 lacs or even more), whereas mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys give somewhere 4-5 lacs initially.
I hope it helps.
