The best way to guess is to make use of a college predictor. Hello Iliyaz, getting change in allotted branch of engineering is quite tough proposition. It's best to apply for CET, score good marks and get branch of your choice. However you can always choose the option of changing branch in your current college, if they are allowing it

I will not suggest SRM due to the heavy fee burden on your parents. It is almost 30 Lacs with a hostel fee. You will not be able to pay with the placement that is given. Please see some of the Anna University colleges. They may not be great, but they cost you 1/10 of what SRM will give. The faculty are the same in all colleges as they are from Anna University or affiliated colleges.
