You have chances of getting into SASTRA if your JEE rank lies between 20k to 30k. You have possibilities to get into SASTRA for ECE. Try up to the 3rd round of counseling, you have 80% chances of getting into ECE branch of SASTRA with your score.

Greetings, Veenu Sodhi I'm going to assume that your daughter's ranking comes from the JEE Mains test. I am presuming this as you haven't mentioned taking any exams. A college predictor developed by Shiksha can forecast a college based on performance in the JEE Main test. Both CSE and ECE are good options but it is better to opt CSE only if you are really interested in Software field because after completing B.Tech in ECE or in any other branch you can easily come to software field but you cannot enter any other core departments if you are a CSE graduate. Since you want to do M.Tech in Nuclear Engineering my suggestion is to opt ECE because it provides practical learning and lets you be prepared for your Masters.
