The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Bhagalpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology has been decreasing in recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under the General category for all India quota was 63405. In 2022, it decreased to 57481. Likewise, the cut-off ranks have changed from 79838 to 65754 for OBC, 215734 to 184030 for SC, 337333 to 313679 for ST, 73654 to 62397 for EWS, and 41074 to 2456 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for Engineering education in India continues to grow. The last year's 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at IIIT Bhagalpur - Indian Institute of Information Technology other than the General category were - 65754 for OBC, 184030 for SC, 313679 for ST, 62397 for EWS, and 2456 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last year's cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 35311, and the closing rank was 57481. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 33968 and 54739. I must say that NIT Raipur is better than IIIT Naya Raipur in all aspects. First of all the former college is older. It has better infrastructure, hostel facilities, location, academic performance, and the most important aspect is placements.
