As you are a Diploma holder and want to know about the procedure for the lateral entry to Engineering. For getting admission through lateral entry, you have to clear LEET (Lateral Engineering Engineering Test). It id=s the type of Engineering Test for Diploma students who want to get admission in Engineering under Lateral Entry Scheme.
Eligibility Criteria for LEET Exam;
* You must have passed your Diploma from any Recognized Institute.
* You must get minimum of 60% in your Diploma without any backlogs
* You age must be in between 18 to 28 years.

Dear Chandan, HBTI comes under top college in Uttar Pradesh. But, according to me, with this rank you may surely get IET. But, I am not sure about core branches like mechanical & electrical engineering.
