IMPACT OF COVD 19 on B-SCHOOL CURRICULUM
The Coronavirus pandemic has spawned a tsunami of innovative ideas for redesigning B- Schools PGDM curricula. The lessons learnt from the widespread disruption have spurred academicians to doff their hats and redesign syllabii of courses in Economies, Strategy, HR, Supply Chain Management etc. At JIMS, Kalkaji, New Delhi, apart from our pioneering efforts in embracing technology and successfully conducting online classes and examinations for our PGDM students, we have also tweaked our courses in real time to reflect the changing reality of the global pandemic. Our HR focused courses now include lessons learnt on how workplaces and their dynamics are continually evolving whilst the Economic course addresses the impact of crashing oil prices on the global economy. Other novel initiatives adopted by us to enrich the PGDM curriculum pertain to inclusion of predictive models in the financial markets and strategy courses as well as addition of new modules in courses of Disaster Management and Sustainability. HiThe admission for B.Tech (lateral entry) in a different college affiliated to same university is the same. You need to check the details from the web site because changes are made at times. All premier universities would take you as a lateral entry. Hence, first selection should be of a good college which is of repute so that it can give the best academic excellence in the form of best faculty who are there to help you. Added to this, well-equipped labs and library. Exposure of the students to the world market and a wide platform for the student to deal with the world level activities is a must. Lateral entry in B.Tech is a good option because this way you are able to take admission in the second year of B.Tech after your Diploma. The government colleges accepting B.Tech lateral entry are KIITS University, Punjab Technical University - Jalandhar, Anna University – Tamil Nadu, Punjab University - Chandigarh, MIT, CEG etc. Where there are entrance exams and you need to clear them. Besides this, there are good institutions which are having a good place in the education filed like LPU which has received the award for best placements in North for consecutive 3 years. SRM with a big campus and infrastructure, Vellore too is going quite good. Browse through the options of entrance exams and choose accordingly.
