Different colleges use different names for the exact same course. You can opt for B.Tech / BE in software engineering, information technology, information science or computer science engineering. Computer science engineering involves hardware related subjects as well besides software. If you pursue BE / B.Tech, it is a 4 years course. If you go for integrated courses like (BE / B.Tech + MBA / M.Tech), it will be a 5 years course wherein you will be awarded with a Bachelors degree as well as a Masters degree.

Automobile manufacturing industries such as TELCO, L&T, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Heldex India, Bajaj Auto and Gabrial employ automotive engineering graduates as Senior Production Engineer, Quality Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer etc.

You may also join defence services of the country or set up your own business venture. You may even take up the traditional teaching profession.

To gain advanced learning in the field of auto-motives, you can go for M.E. / M.Tech in Automobile engineering. You may even opt for short/long term courses comprising of different levels such as designing, development or manufacturing. It depends on you where do you want to fit in.

Pay package: -
For fresh graduates, the average pay package offered ranges in between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month.
