I'd suggest you to go through all the engineering branches (list of engineering branches) and choose the best, don't listen to others. Every other person will say that their branch is the best. All the engineering branches have good scope. Top 10 evergreen engineering fields:

I understand that you want to be an aircraft engineer. For being an aircraft maintenance engineer you need to have an A.M.E. license for which you should enrol for B.Sc A.M.E. or A.M.E. You should look for such institutions which offer this course and pursue the training. Merely having a mechanical degree will not let you become an aircraft engineer.

Scope of civil engineering more or less remains the same but with increase technology in the field of construction today the demand for the skilled civil engineers expert in a particular technologies are in great demand so if you have a specific knowledge about Technologies, then you are good to go with the prospect of future civil engineer.
Civil Engineering is one of the core branches of Engineering it is the branch which is the base of many Constructions there is lot of scope in it you can get a job in the government sector under the Civil Engineer post which is highly reputed.
