If your targeted college gives admission on the basis of Class 12 merit, that is well and good. Otherwise you have to sit for the entrance exam. After the results are out and you've got your scorecard, you need to apply for the counselling session at the college via the online portal.

The counselling session is meant for seat allotment purposes. Aft

While it is always good if you give the entrance exam for admission to BTech Biomedical Engineering course, it is not compulsory. There are several private BME colleges in India that offer admission to students on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks. These colleges mostly take extra rounds as well like the GD or PI rounds. There are more than 95 BTech BME colleges in India that consider the marks secured by students in Class 12 exams for giving admission.

You will find more than 800 BTech ECE colleges in India that admit students to Electronics & Communication programs on the basis of their performance in the Class 12 board exams. If you're targeting the IITs, NITs, and the IITs in India, you will have to give the entrance test for admission because they strictly consider that for admission to ECE courses.

Rest, there are a lot of decent engineering colleges in India that you can consider for studying the BTech ECE course without having to appear for the entrance test. These colleges make take extra rounds like the GD or PI in such cases.
