No, candidates are not allowed to get direct admission to BTech courses at Dr. Subhash University. The university follows the complete admission procedure to allocate a seat in the programme. The admission process involves,  filling out the application form- the candidate has to fill out an online application form with all the necessary details in the due time declared by the universityRelease of merit list- after the last date of application, the university shall publish the merit lists of selected candidates. No, candidates are not required to appear in the CUET UG for admission to BTech at Dr. Subhash University. However, to get admission, candidates must complete their Class 12 in Science stream with decent scores. Moreover, candidates must apply for the course through the official website of the university, and on the basis of candidates' secured scores- the university will release the merit list of selected students.

The hostel fee for BTech students at Subhash University varies according to the accommodation selected by the students. The university provided on-campus and off-campus hostels for boys and girls. The accommodations available at campus are four-bed non-AC rooms, three-bed non-AC rooms, and three-bed-AC rooms. Check out the price of hostel rooms in the table below:

Four-Bed Non-ACINR 65,000 per year (girls hostel) 
Three- B.Ed Non-ACINR 75,000 per year (boys hostel) 
Three-Bed ACINR 90,000 per year (boys hostel) 

Apart from the hostel fee, candidates are required to pay INR 10,000 as a caution deposit, which is refundable. Note- Electricity bills for AC will be charged extra.

Yes, BTech students at Dr. Subhash Universuty can apply for Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme. However, there is certain eligibility criteria and prerequisties. Check out the below table to learn more about TFWS: 

Scholarship Name Eligibility Criteria 
Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)
  • Students whose parent's income is less than INR 6 lakh/annum are eligible for TFWS.
  • Admission is strictly on merit number through admission committee.
  • TFW scheme shall be applicable for complete duration of the course (4 Years).
  • To get the benefits of TFW Scheme, the candidate has to submit the income certificate issued after 31st March from either 'Mamlatdar' or 'Taluka Development Officer (TDO)' or 'Collector (Jan Seva Kendra)' at the time of application form filling (registration for admission).
  • No other document shall be considered valid such as, income tax return, Certificate issued by 'Sarpanch'.

Dr. Subhash University BTech scholarships will be awarded in tuition fees on the basis of percentile/ percentage obtained during last eligibility/passed examination for selected courses only. Additional benefits will continue like MYSY & Government Scholarships that are offered by Subhash University to BTech students.

The total number of BTech seats offered by Dr. Subhash University is 330. The institute offers the same number of seats to five specialisations i.e., Computer Engineering, IT Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Only one specialisation BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering offers only 30 seats in the programme. Hence, BTech in EC specialisation has the minimum number of seats among other undergraduate engineering courses at Dr. Subhash University.
