Hello Sathwik, it's very nice indeed to SEE that you have already set your aim to clear the services examination of the UPSC. As per the present statistics engineers or doctors appear to come on top in this examination. But this does not mean that students from arts or commerce for liberal arts background are not selected. The admission in IIST Bangalore are based on the ranks secured in JEE Advanced. So you have to fist appear in JEE Main exam and qualify the JEE Main exam being among the top 2,50,000 rank holders are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced examination.
