This is so sins majority of the students gave this branch as their first choice and as a result the cut offs are really stiff. Hello Firoz, it's very nice to hear from you that after completion of your Diploma in engineering you are now interested in completion of your graduation in engineering. Yes you can seek and get admission directly into second year of four year degree course based on your Diploma under what is called as lateral admission process. In the state of Maharashtra there is no entrance exam for students like you as the admission is based on the marks obtained by you in your Diploma examination. You just need to register yourself on the website of directorate of technical education for this purpose and then based on your marks you will be getting the ranking and based on your ranking you will be getting to college and the branch.
