Even if you have lost the chance to appear for JEE Mains in January, there is no need to worry since NTA will be conducting the exam again in April. There is no point in focusing on MCA after BTech from IIT. You should aim for MTech. However, if you want to do MCA then instead of BTech in IIT, you may do BCA after class 12th.

I can understand your angst and apprehension about job prospects after completion of diploma. Unfortunately, authentic data is not available. However reliable sources indicate that its the civil branch which is at top followed by Computers, mechanical then electrical, etc.

There is nothing wrong with engineering degree completed in 5 years. Both degrees i.e. 4 and 5 years have equal opportunities in employment and higher studies. So there is no specific rule for the students.

As per Jossa eligibility criteria, you are eligible for appearing in allotment rounds. The eligibility criteria is given below. Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have qualified Class 12th or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of either Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject as optional subject.

Hi,
In JEE Main in NIT Durgapur, the last year closing rank was 48176 in Biotechnology in 7th round. While in 2nd special round the last closing rank was 192468. Hence, your JEE Main percentile should be above 85.
