Candidates are selected for M.Tech course at Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation on the basis of their marks in the various national and state level entrance exams along with the VMRF Counselling. Top Mechatronics Engineering colleges follow a balanced approach where the theoretical subjects are assessed through semester exams that are conducted after every 6 months, along with individual and group research projects, lab classes and assignments. The division may vary with more weightage being given to the semester exams, around 60 to 70%, and the remainder to the practical component.

Mechatronics Engineering college ranking plays an important role. A good ranking is equal to faculty experience, industrial recognition and networking. Having said that, you also need to focus on other factors like the course content, infrastructure, hands on learning, course fees, placements and alumni feedback. AI and automation will definitely affect Mechatronics Engineering jobs in the future, with several repetitive tasks being automated and a few job roles being eliminated. Having said that, the positives of AI technology will generate more demand for skilled mechatronics professionals who would focus on the integration of AI into various industrial systems. New mechatronics jobs, increased efficiency and productivity, upskilling, and industrial innovation and automation would be the result of AI and automation.

Note that the Mechatronics Engineering salary differs based on various things. Like job role, recruiter, and academic records and skills. As a college fresher, you can earn around INR 5-7 LPA, while mid level positions attract around INR 8-10 LPA. After having years of experience, you can earn around INR 10 LPA or above at senior-level positions, esp. in the private sector.
