Hello,Many colleges offer lateral entry, eligibility for lateral entry:-Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering from an AICTE approved institution or B.Sc from a recognized university with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) in aggregate. Also, candidates having B.Sc Degree must have passed class 12th with mathematics as a compulsory subject. B.Sc candidates will be considered for admission only if vacancies remain after admitting Diploma holder candidates. Hope it helps.

Yeah you have to pay if you want library books.
You will be given the books required for the semister and you have to return after completing the semister and take the books of the next semister.and if you need any other books which they have not given .
They will give library cards . you can use that library cards for borrowing the books.
And there is no dress code and fees. You have to wear formal and on Saturdays t-shirts are allowed.
Hope you have got answer for your questions
Thank you

Hello,
Yes, ECE students can take up CSE GATE.
However, this is not as easy as it looks. You need to work your off to crack the exam.
Also, note that a few colleges require you to have a degree also in the same domain as the
GATE paper. For instance, I am ECE and I want to take up "Automobile technology" at some college listed under their department of Mechanical Engineering. Hence, I appear for GATE ME paper, but still not eligible to get that particular course because the college also requires me to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME).
Hope it helps.
