The CUSAT CAT syllabus is based on the class 10+2 Board syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates who wish to appear for the CUSAT CAT BTech exam must have passed thier class 12th exams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They should also obtain a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics together. Kerala SC and ST candidates do not have any minimum percentage requirement however, they must has qualified their class 12th exam.

The CUSAT CAT application fee is Rs.1500 and for Kerala SC (KSC)/ Kerala ST (KST) Rs. 700 for a maximum of 2 test codes. For each additional test code, candidates have to pay Rs. 500 for general candidates Rs. 250 for KSC/KST candidates.
