Most M.Tech colleges are accepting GATE scores for admission. State-level admissions to Mumbai University–affiliated colleges use MHT-CET (PG). For IIT Bombay, GATE plus COAP counselling is required. Some private colleges may additionally conduct their own tests or interviews, but GATE remains the main exam for serious aspirants.
