Hello Karthik, Mechanical engineering is one of the core branches of engineering which also forms the base of any engineered product. It is good that you have decided to opt for it. It has a good scope on present and in the future also. The college in which you study the courses is as essential as the course that you have chosen to study. Hence if you are interested then you can take the course and try for the best colleges. All the best!

Hello Aditi,
Firstly if I may ask as to why engineering with such low marks in 12th? Engineering is not the end of the world. In fact, 50% students remained without placements last year. I would like to advise you that please select that stream of studies which fascinates you. It could be arts, fine arts, liberal arts, commerce etc. To answer in nutshell about your query. No you will not get admission merely on the basis of marks obtained in 12th in any engineering college.
