Both are fields are quite different and pertains different scope. You can put according to your interest. But as in terms of placement, you must choose engineering as various IT companies are there in India.

Yes, students who have completed class 12th with PCM as subjects are eligible to pursue B.Tech in Food Technology. Without maths, it's not possible to get admission for this course.
