Admission is done through DTE Maharashtra's Centralized Admission Process (CAP) with 20% going through management quota and 80% going through MHT CET. Through MHT CET Diploma holders with 50% of the possible points can apply for lateral admission.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell announced the MHT CET 2025 result for the PCM group on cetcell.mahacet.org on June 16, 2025 which is pertinent to B.E. admissions at Sinhgad Academy of Engineering (SAE) The results of the PCB group were revealed on June 17, 2025. With cutoffs for General Home State candidates in 2024 ranging from 34.81 to 92.43 percentiles these results establish eligibility for SAE counseling process.
