Hi,
You cannot pursue automobile engineering or any other branches of engineering via distance mode as per the government rules and regulations for technical education. You need to attend regular classes to get a degree. Best of luck.

If it is general category rank, then might be some chances, you can check previous year stats opening and closing rank for SVNIT on JoSAA website. And, go through your stats.

For your kind information, there is a fee remission rule for students with annual parental income less than INR. 5 lacs. And, full fee refund for income less than INR. 1 lac. So, you can pay fee either by any other personal help or by bank loan, then you can apply for remission.
