Separate admissions for JEE Mains scores (for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs) and JEE Advanced scores (for IITs). They both have different cut off scores and hence, you will have a different ranking for each exam. The admission is completely based on AIR which is through the JoSAA counseling.

Hi Anup,
To get into college like NIE, and if you want to join the Civil branch. Try to get distinction and above in PU board but KCET marks is considered 50% along with with PU 50%.
Also your category depends on alot to get a seat. Here are
2018 engineering cutoff for civil:
Round 1
GM - 15400
3AG - 16150
3BG - 16146
2AG - 20236
2BG - 24699
1AG - 18464
SCG - 29816
STG - 22105
But whatever is your category if are writing KCET in the year 2020
try to focus on getting good marks.
