Hi Nikhil,Sorry to say, but you can't get admission in government recognized colleges without clearing the cut offs of GATE exam. Although some private universities can provide you an M.Tech seat, but you will not get any scholarship from government. Try to clear the cut offs. Best of luck.

There is no defense quota reservation in JoSAA counselling. You can go for army institute of technology Pune but there is very little chance at this percentile.

Hello S Priya, SASTRA admits students based on combination of the marks of JEE Mains exam and the 12th. 75% weightage is given to 12th while it's 25% for JEE Mains. As your both types of marks are quite good, I feel you have good chances of getting admission in your desired branch. Best wishes.

Yes, you can get admission via lateral entry. You are eligible. Those students, who will join through lateral entry will get admission in second year directly.

I know parents are from different generation than children & hence many a time's views do not match. But I would like to advise you that please follow your heart and go for arts. There innumerable opportunities in this as well as other fields also. In fact 50% fresh engineering graduates could not get placements including some from IIT's also. Be patient and explain your view point to your parents. Let me assure you that ultimately they will yield to your desires. Best wishes.

Sorry to inform you that you can't write BITSAT without applying for the entrance. Now, you have two options either rely on JEE Mains or apply for private colleges. In a special case, if you are topper of any board in class 12th, then you can get direct admission to BITS Pilani. Best of luck.

If you're from general category then no you don't stand a chance but don't get disheartened give entrance exams for various top private college and try to give your best shot.
