Hello Tanmoy, Yes, a student of mechanical engineering at undergraduate level can surely think of doing PG in aeronautical engineering. Of course the student can not select "avionics" as specialisation. However, any sub-branch of aeronautical engineering related to mechanical engineering can be selected if the student selects appropriate paper of GATE.
Best wishes for your dream of pursuing PG in aeronautical engineering.

Hello Ram,
Almost every student who want to be an engineer wants answer to this query. As per the present trends CSE & IT are at the top. Biotechnology is one field that is making good stride. Then, there are other evergreen branches like Electrical/mechanical/civil. But, always remember one Golden rule : There is always room at the top. What this means is a hard-working & determined student will succeed in any branch. Best wishes to you.

Hello Akshay,
BC quota is around 23% in most of the cases. The answer to your question is to be found using empirical and approximations. In IIT's, there are about 10000 seats and 1000 are for CSE. By the same logic, there are approximately 15 Lacs seats on all India basis and there should be about 1.5 Lacs seats for CSE. Out of these, approximately 23% would be under OBC. Best wishes to you.

You can go for B.Sc Biotechnology or B.Tech Biotechnology after your class 12th with PCM. It might become quite difficult to survive in biotechnology, because a PCM student is unaware of basic concepts of biology which are roots of biotechnology. Biotechnology is nothing but technical biology, where we use technology to develop or manipulate the nature's creation. In other words with help of technology we exploit natures creation for the betterment of human life. Go for B.Tech in Biotechnology. The three-year B.Sc. Course is conducted as any other Science subject and the students can go for the M.Sc. Course and take up research later.
