Well to get placed in IT sector, any candidate with skills of DSA, DBMS, OS, system design, any of the development skills (web development or app development) can get placed. During campus placement branch matters though. Almost 90% companies are not open for non circuital branches. So you will have a tough competition. So I would suggest you to keep applying off campus, many good companies are open to all branches if you have the required skills. So the journey won't be easy.

The curriculum of Bachelor's in Science and Bachelor's in Technology is totally different specially in complex subjects like Biotech. Hence, you cannot pursue M.Tech after B.Sc. To pursue M.Tech in Environmental Engineering or Biotechnology Engineering the candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or B.Tech Biotechnology or M.Sc. Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or any other branch of life sciences with a minimum of 50% marks.

It's better to do B.Tech in environmental engineering from public college only as it provides better scopes of jobs compared to private colleges and the fees is also less. This happens for this course as environmental engineering is taught in very few colleges.
