IISER Aptitude Test was introduced as a new mode of entry for IISC BSc admissions for the Academic Year 2023-24. Candidates seeking admission through IAT must apply separately at both the IISc Bangalore admission portal and IISER admissions 2023 portal. Going as per IISC Bangalore cutoff 2023, candidates belonging to General category must apply have an overall score of 17 in order to be eligible for further round of admissions. Indian Institute of Science Bangalore cutoffs for BSc and BTech courses are based on various national-level exams. The answer to this question depends on the course you are applying at IISC.
For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission, JEE is not compulsory. Candidates with a valid score in IISER Aptitude Test can also get admission. For other courses such as MTech, MSc and PhD, JEE Main is not required for admission at Indian Institute of Science (IISC).
Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language and any subject other than the above four to apply for IISC Bangalore BTech programme. The selection to BTech course is based on JEE Advanced score.
Candidates who want to takeM.Techadmissions should have scored a minimum of 50-70 % aggregate in graduation. Also, the candidates should also have cleared the GATE exam for IISc admission. The application process is online. The application fee for the General / OBC / EWS (economically weaker section) categories is INR 800 whereas the application fee for SC / ST category is INR 400. JEE Main Admit Card Session 1, 2024 has been released. NTA has released the JEE Mains 2024 admit card online on the official website. Candidates have to login to the website using their application number and date of birth for JEE Mains 2024 admit card download session. Admit card will have details about the JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1, address of the exam centre, timing of the paper and exam day instructions. Candidates have to carry a printout of their JEE Mains admit card 2024 to the exam centre.

IISER 2025 entrance examination for the academic session 2025-2026 will be conducted online/ computer-based test. Candidates will get a the nearest ION digital zone as their examination centre and will give the IISER 2025 entrance examination on the computer.
The IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern has been specified for this year's examination. It has been observed that the IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern remains to be same as of the previous year of IISER Entrance Exam which was also conducted in online mode I. e. computer-based. The only change which is made by the exam conducting body is the marks awarded for each correct answer. Earlier the examination was 180 marks, but now the maximum mark of the examination will be 240 marks. The IISER Entrance Exam will be conducted in various exam centres across India. In orer to get admission for BTech course at IISC it is not mandatory for a student to clear JEE Mains or advanced for getting admission into Indian institute of Science at Bangalore. The student must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12. In addition, the candidate need to qualify in one of the national tests – KVPY/ IIT-JEE (Main) or (Advance)/ NEET.

Yes, a student can apply for more than one course based on their qualifications but must fill out appropriate online forms for the same. IISc Bangalore cutoff 2024 has been concluded based on GATE scores. The last round closing scores for the General AI category candidates was closed between 350 and 650. For the OBC AI category candidates, the last round closing scores for the MTech specialisations closed at a range of 250 and 624.

IISc Bangalore will release the GATE 2026 cutoff for M.Tech admissions on its official website the declaration of results. Candidates can check the GATE IISc CS, ME, DA, ME, XL, and EE cutoff scores. Candidates applying for M.Tech at IISc through GATE register to receive COAP ID.

With a GATE score of 500+ it can be a bit difficult to get admission into IISc Bengaluru. However, it can also depend on various factors, such as availability of the seats, candidates appeared for the exam, difficulty level of the question paper. The COAP counselling will start from May 12 onwards.
