Indian Institute of Science College review.
Placements: Campus placement conditions had improved at IISc after the inception of the campus placement cell. The average package was around 25 LPA. Since most of the students opted for higher studies from IISc, you will see the placement percentage to be low. Personally, I am also going for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The college had the best infrastructure compared to the other colleges in the city. Wi-Fi was available all around the campus. Our classrooms were very clean. The library had good books. We had clean washrooms. The hostel did not have good things. The food was the worst. Sports were good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and well-qualified, like Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality was good. The course made students industry-ready. Semester exams were more difficult than those at other colleges, but they helped build students. The passing CGPA was above 9.

Review of Indian Institute of Science.
Placements: Placement and job opportunities here are excellent. The total number of companies visiting for placements is much higher than any other college in the class. The list of companies includes LnT, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Jindal Steel, Wipro, TCS, A2Z Solutions, and the list goes on. There is a placement cell at the university that assists students in securing placements. They prepare students for upcoming opportunities.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is very lucrative. As a student of accounts and tax, I was taught these subjects in great depth. Additionally, regular classes were held, which proved to be extremely helpful as we had just transitioned from school to college. Exams were held semester-wise, meaning we had internal assessments twice a year. The hostel infrastructure is rated 7 out of 10, the food 9 out of 10, hostel facilities 7 out of 10, gym facilities 8 out of 10, and strictness 5 out of 10. Some strict rules can make students feel aggressive.
Faculty: The faculty at this university is excellent, and all the teachers are highly skilled. They also provide extracurricular activities. All faculty members hold Ph.D. degrees, and they are very cooperative and responsible. The semester system is in place, which includes 2 CA tests in a single year and 2 semester-end exams each year. Every subject includes practical work, which encompasses assignments and projects.

M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences - Batch of 2026
4.2
4Placements5Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
The best research college in India, helpful professors, best classrooms, and other facilities.
Placements: Placements here are not that good as M.Sc chemical science is a very new course here. Placements here are as low as 10% (as most students go for PhD). The highest package is around 13 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA. The average salary is 8 LPA. Most recruiting companies are battery related companies (last year 2 students got placed at Ola). Anyone willing to go for internships may apply to other institutes. Most likely, they got an internship in various educational institutes like IITs and IISERs. Top roles like you have to join a professor's lab for M.Sc. project in IISc where you will work professor on research.
Infrastructure: Classrooms here are really advanced. All the classrooms are like seminar halls. Wi-Fi has an average speed of 100 Mbps. Labs too are very advanced and JRD Tata library is very good. Library is open 24X7, except Sunday. Every student gets a single room here, we have 5 messes where we get food (2 non-veg and 3 veg). We also have two canteens. We have health center for medical purposes. Doctors and nurses are very kind here. For sports and games, we have gymkhana.
Faculty: Actually, the people who teach us in the classrooms are researchers first and professors next. They are highly knowledgeable persons. They encourage us to come to their lab and ask any doubts during the lecture time. The courses here are very relevant and makes the students industry ready. The main issue is the exams. You will be writing exams almost 1-3 times a week. Exam pressure is too much here. Sometimes it gets monotonous writing and preparing for exams every day. More than 99% of students clear without any supplement.
Other: I chose this course because this is the best research institute in India. The best thing about my course is that we learn relevant things. One thing that I think should get better is that I want less number of course papers for the completion of M.Sc. Events and fests are very good here. We have 2 fests each year, one is Pravega and another is Rhapsody. The campus is very green. There is no scholarship for M.Sc students currently.

Integrated M.Sc.+ Ph.D. in Biological Sciences - Batch of 2024

5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall best institute for M.Sc. in biological sciences course.
Placements: 79% of the students are transferred from my branch this year with an average of 17 LPA and the highest 27 LPA. The lowest offered is 7 LPA. The major recruiters are Pfizer, Amgen, Syngenta, and other companies. Internship opportunities are too good with almost 65% of students getting it only from the institute. Top roles offered as Biochemist, Geneticist, and more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus. Libraries, labs, and classrooms are kept up properly. The air conditioning in the institutes is nonexistent. The number of supports is quite large. Hostel food is quite good. They have a restaurant, too within the hotel there is a medical room. There is a gym at this campus as well. Our campus is where sports are played. A playground is also available.
Faculty: Excellent instruction is provided. Every professor is amiable and supportive. Additionally, they provide useful knowledge to help pupils get ready for the workforce. Exams this semester are moderate. Additionally, its marking method is not subpar. Relatively numbers at our institute make life easier for students. Over 70% of them pass.

Life at Indian Institute of Science.
Placements: The institute focuses more on research rather than placements. Students mostly come here for research, so there is no talk about placements. There is a placement cell that works for students, but as I said, the institute focuses more on research rather than placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are quite good, with smart classrooms equipped with air conditioning. The same goes for labs and the library. The hostel is quite good, having a fan, table, chair, cupboard, and light with an attached balcony. Mess food is good, and medical insurance is also provided along with a health center facility.
Faculty: Teaching is good with world-class faculty having professors from foreign as well. They are really helpful and highly qualified. The course curriculum prepares students for research rather than focusing on industry. Semester exams contain mid-semester and end-semester exams. The pass percentage is around a CGPA of 7.0.

IISc at a glance: an institute with a legacy of excellence.
Placements: There is a placement cell but I personally do not have experience with it. There are a lot of companies that come in like Airbus. Students are allowed to take three months internships with no questions and longer ones with permission. Not sure what the stipend is since most Maths people don't opt for this. Sadly I haven't taken any internships so I cannot comment on it.
Infrastructure: Most important parts of campus have Wi-Fi. The library is one of the biggest in India. IISc has some of the most advanced research facilities. Classrooms are basic but that's what's needed. Rooms are quite basic, with shelves, cupboards, and a study table. Rooms are quite good given the price. IISc has the best messes of any institute in the country. There are five messes. They offer a variety of cuisines. The menu is very varied and most food items are amazing.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty helpful. Most of them are from top research institutes across the world. Most courses are very well taught. The curriculum prepares you very well for a future in academia. Exams might be difficult but are usually easy to follow through. Haven't heard of anyone failing a course ever.
Other: There's Pravega, the UG fest, and Rhapsody, the pan-IISc fest. Months are not very strict but this year they are in Early Feb and March respectively. The library is one of the most extensive in the country. Classes depend on the major you choose. The maths department doesn't have a lot of teach, but it doesn't need much for example. There are active sports groups playing most sports you can think of. Cricket, football, hockey, badminton, tennis, table tennis, carrom, swimming, etc. There's also a music and a drama club which have yearly showcases.
