Hello Mandira, it is not necessary to do an internship for taking lateral entry admission in a college after passing Diploma in food technology, Lateral Entry means students who are admitted to the third semester of the respective programme (Undergraduate Engineering Programme or the Post Graduate MCA programme, based on the qualification at the time of entry) Sample 1. Dear aspirant, Nice to see you. Both the programmes carry different importance. It depends upon personal aptitude that decides which programme is better for her/him. B Tech in Food Technology has a better overall prospect as even without a master's course you can enter into the industry/job market whereas B.Sc. (Ag) graduates generally need M.Sc. (Ag) for higher positions. Both the graduates may take any competition for which the minimum prescribed qualification is graduation in any discipline. So for administrative/bank/railway both have equal prospects. An agriculture graduate has, however, an advantage for some posts in bank especia
