To become a game designer in India you don't need to have a particular degree but a degree in B.Des. or in computer Science could be helpful. Start nurturing your soft skills like Storytelling, Communication and art and design. Also having a stronghold on technical skills like Programming, Game Engines, Maths and Physics could be really helpful. Once you feel ready start gaining experience through internships, personal projects, Freelancing and game testing and buil a strong portfolio throughout. That would be perfect to kickstart your career as a Game Designer.

I am unable to offer advice or unbiased comments. However, The University of Southern California (USC), Carnegie Mellon University, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), DigiPen Institute of Technology, and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) are just a few notable colleges and universities that provide game design programmes. To choose the college that would be the best fit for you, it is advised that you conduct research and examine the programmes, faculty members, facilities, and alumni success of each institution. Considerations like location, affordability, and accessible resources may also be beneficial.
