The salary after qualifying GATE varies for different sectors -
Like for example -
- In PSUs, the salary mainly ranges between 7.6 LPA to 18 LPA
- Salary range in FAANG companies mainly range between 45 LPA to 2.5 crore per annum (through IITs and IISc)
- Salary range in private companies mainly ranges between 15 LPA to 60 LPA
These salary bracket completely based on the experience, skill set, and other factors. The GATE scorecard is valid for three years. Candidates can utilise the scores for the recruitment or study purposes.

Yes, candidates need to have a valid GATE score for admission to MTech courses. Aspirants must also pass BE/ BTech or equivalent in respective discipline with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA for SC/ ST candidates) for admission in the MTech courses.

Yes, college GATE cutoffs may very well fall particularly in the second and subsequent phases of the centralized counselling such as COAP (IITs), and CCMT (NITs and IIITs, and GFTIs).
