GATE cutoffs for PSUs in Civil Engineering:

 

- *General*: 78.54-81.66 marks

- *OBC*: 73.92-75.85 marks

- *SC/ST*: 64.74-67.91 marks

 

Some PSU-specific cutoffs:

- *BHEL*: 76.92 (General), 66.65 (OBC), 57.12 (SC), 49.85 (ST)

- *NTPC*: 73.12 (General), 70.34 (OBC), 64.84 (SC), 57.56 (ST)

- *ONGC*: 71.69 (General), 56.53 (SC)

- *IOCL*: 77-78 marks

- *PGCIL*: 78-79 marks

Check specific PSU cutoffs for the year you're applying.

Yes, definitely you can pursue Masters in Technology M.Tech in Data Science from Indian Institute of Technology IITs and National Institute of Technology NITs through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE because both the institutions accepts GATE entrance exam scores primarily for admission to MTech. There are some other colleges in Delhi who offers M.Tech course through Gate scores like Delhi Technological University DTU, Amity University Noida, Netaji Subhas University of Technology NSUT, Indraprastha Institution of Information Technology IIIT Delhi.

NOTE: A candidate can choose 3 cities from the list given above. All the three choices must be from the same GATE 2026 zone.

GATE 2026 is divided into eight zones, each managed by an IIT or IISc. Each zone contains a list of cities where exam centres are located. You must choose your cities from a single zone only.

The list of the eight GATE 2026 zones is as follows -

  • Zone 1 - IISc Bengaluru
  • Zone 2 - IIT Bombay

Yes, candidates can change their GATE exam centre at the time of editing the GATE application form (during the correction facility). Candidates can access the GATE 2026 application form correction window at the GOAPS portal and submit it by paying the requisite amount.

If you have forgot your GATE enrollment ID, then you can follow the steps below to retrieve it -

  • Visit the official GATE 2026 website
  • Click on the log in page and select "Forgot credentials"
  • Now enter email ID, mobile number, and select "Send OTP"
  • The details will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.

Ensure you're checking the same contact details used during registration. If you're still unable to retrieve it, contact the GATE helpdesk of the organizing institute.
