GIBS Business School Eligibility

GIBS Business School offers a structured learning approach for students from non-business or non-management academic backgrounds to succeed in the PGDM course through its support systems. Support systems include foundation or bridge courses in principles of accounting, economics, statistics, and basic business principles, allowing them to build core competencies. 

The PGDM curriculum is designed as progressive learning with core subjects that provide practical, hands-on applications of concepts through the case method, use of examples, and interactive approaches. Faculty members also provide supplementary academic support, ie. offering additional support under circumstances that require additional assistance (referred to as "? ). 

As well, communication skills training, aptitude workshops, and group projects support students from a diverse range of academic backgrounds in transitioning confidently into the business world and adapting to working in teams. Students have access to a variety of support structures that will assist them to succeed in the PGDM, regardless of their previous academic experience or qualifications.

GIBS Business School promotes total personal growth through the integration of academic studies and structured skill-building programmes with practical experience. In addition to their regular Academic coursework, students participate in communication training, aptitude development, leadership Workshops, and personality development programmes to develop confidence, presentation skills, teamwork, and professional/Workplace Etiquette. Students at GIBS Business School also have the opportunity to participate in various clubs, cultural events, sporting activities, and have the chance to develop their social and interpersonal skills using the real-world confidence gained from participating in many different types of activities during their time at GIBS. GIBS offers a complete library with access to books, professional journals and digital databases to support students in their research activities and projects and to provide them with education related to an innovation-based curriculum.

GIBS operates its computer labs using up-to-date technology that supplies students with various tools to assist in data analysis, as well as providing students with entire campus access to the high-speed Internet.

6) Collaborative Spaces and Areas for Activities
The GIBS campus contains multiple seminar rooms, collaborative meeting rooms and areas dedicated for activities to support students' collaboration on multiple group projects through the conduct of hackathons, guest speakers and workshops.

Through its systematic method of substantial mentorship, hands-on experiences, and ongoing learning, GIBS enables students to have long-term clarity in their careers. Students participate in an individual counselling with developmental assessments and assessments of personality from the start through mentoring programmes, enabling students to develop self-awareness of their strengths, preferences, and competencies for different career choices.

Additionally, students are exposed to different employment roles and sectors via GIBS' provision of actual internships, live company projects, visits to companies, and guest speakers. With the ongoing guidance, support and feedback of faculty mentors, industry professionals and the placement cell, GIBS assists students with identifying specific career aspirations and developing a plan for achieving those aspirations.

The GIBS Placement Cell aims to create a placement process that encourages transparency, structure and student orientation. Each student in the programme has knowledge of the eligibility criteria, important dates, recruitment guidelines and expectations, from the very beginning. Student has a clear pathway with clearly identified sections of the placement process, including resume preparation, mock interviews, group discussions and company shortlisting; therefore, they know what to prepare for and when. The Placement Team keeps you constantly updated on upcoming drives, participating companies and the profiles for the company's roles and gathers your feedback to improve the placement process. The student is notified in advance of the shortlisting and interviewing schedule; therefore, student has the necessary resources during the entire process from pre-placement to final offer negotiation. The placement process provides the structure, transparency, and sufficiency of the student will to enable and ultimately increase the student's opportunity to secure a good job.

Corporate leaders and industry mentors at GIBS influence student professional development by connecting students' academic knowledge with the realities of the corporate environment. These professionals assist students in confronting the intricacies of actual business difficulties and understanding the requirements of the sector by offering mentorship sessions, career counseling, and one-on-one meetings.
