GM Institute of Technology approved is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Moreover, the institute is also affilaited with  Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi with the Karnataka State Government approval. Additionally, the institute is also accredited by NAAC with B+ grade. For some of the courses, GMIT is also accredited by NBA.
