The placements at VTU have shown an increasing trend over the previous years. The median package offered to MBA students at VTU increased from INR 3.5 LPA in 20221 to INR 3.65 LPA in 2022. Many new recruiters are getting on-board for the placement drive at VTU each year.

Seats at VTU are allocated by KEA, based on the scores of the accepted exams. However, the university promotes inclusivity of students belonging to the minority categories of Karnataka. So the eligibility criteria of minimum aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree is 45% for the minority candidates belonging to Karnataka, as opposed to the minimum aggregate requirement of 50% for all the other candidates.

Yes, the students pursuing MBA from VTU have to go through an internship during the second year of the course. Internship is a compulsory part of the MBA curriculum. Internship exams are held during the third semester of the programme. However, VTU is not known to provide any internship opportunities through any internship drive.
