Actually, Mata Kaushalya Government Hospital for General Nursing and Midwifery is a government body. So government provides grants to this Institute for expenditure and maintenance. So there is no fee to study in any course in this college ( but some minimal fee charges from students ). But to get admissions is little difficult due to heavy competition for free education. All admissions in this college is conducted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab. Admissions are based on 10+2 marks only.

Whether the admissions are open to the General Nursing and Midwifery course offered by GCS College in Ludhiana, one needs to visit the official website of the respective college or contact their admission office directly. They will have the most apt and updated information regarding availability of admission and its application schedules and entry requirements for admission to the GNM course. Since very few nursing courses have nationwide initial applications, flexibility is expected; moreover, the seats for the nursing courses may also be low per year.

Fees for GNM course at Kalawati Nursing and Paramedical College is based on number of semesters. Actually, this GNM ( General Nursing and Midwifery ) is a 3 years course, so there are six semesters in this course. Fee for GNM course per semester is around ninety thousand (90, 000). So fee for whole course is 90,000 * 6 = 5,40,000 ( five lakhs fourty thousand). But this fee is only for academic fee only there will be some other fees like hostel fee, examination fee etc.

GNM Nursing and ANM Nursing are different courses in nursing. former stands for General Nursing and Midwifery, while latter is Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery.
Although both courses are concerned with nursing, GNM is an extended course and has broader scope of practice compared to ANM. GNM passes can go for higher education such as BSc Nursing or MSc Nursing, while AMN graduate can study very little further.
Still, candidates have to notice that in most of colleges GNM course has been discontinued and candidates may opts for ANM course.
